Cabernet-Mataro blends are very rarely considered in the Australian winemaking milieu. When Adrian, Nathan and I were conducting initial classifications of our 2017 vintage, in mid-2019, we identified an outstanding parcel of Cabernet from Adrian’s Stockwell vineyard and an exceptional outcome with Mataro from his “sand” block in Ebenezer.
